Den Norske Skolen i Rojales

Den Norske Skolen i Rojales (DNSR) is a Norwegian school in Ciudad Quesada, in the municipality of Rojales (Alicante), about 45 km south of Alicante and 8 km from the Mediterranean coast. It is a publicly approved Norwegian school in Spain for grades 1 to 13, so pupils can complete their whole schooling there, from the first year of primary school to the third year of upper secondary school.

• Barneskolen: primary school, grades 1-7
• Ungdomsskolen: lower secondary school, grades 8-10
• Videregående skole: upper secondary school, VG1-VG3

In upper secondary the school offers the general studies programme (studiespesialisering) with specialisation in languages, social sciences and economics; for 2026-27 the elective subjects are psychology, entrepreneurship, media and information studies, and travel and language. Spanish is offered as the foreign language. Each school day starts in base groups, where pupils plan the day with their base teacher, and the school uses the MOT programme to strengthen children's and young people's resilience.

Many Scandinavian families live in the surrounding urbanisations. Applications for a school place are made through the school's application form; each application is considered in light of the existing number of pupils and class composition.
