DeutschAkademie, München

Language school in Munich, Germany

DeutschAkademie München is the Munich branch of DeutschAkademie, a language school for German as a foreign language whose first school was founded in Vienna in 1999. It also has schools in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne, Stuttgart and Leipzig, and teaches online. The Munich school is in the city centre, on the corner of Schwanthalerstraße and Sonnenstraße next to Karlsplatz (Stachus); according to the school, over 6,000 people take a German course there each year.

Courses cover all levels from A1 to C2, divided into 12 sub-levels based on the CEFR, and a free written and oral placement test is used to find the right course. Teachers are native speakers, lessons are in German from the start, and groups usually have 7 to 14 participants. New courses start every month, with classes at four times of day, from 8:30am to 9:15pm.
