Dickinson College is a four-year residential liberal arts and sciences college in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (United States), chartered in 1783. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Carlisle is within reach of Harrisburg, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and New York.
The college offers 46 majors plus minors, certificates and independent research, with a student-faculty ratio of 9:1. Programmes range from data analytics to neuroscience and international business. According to the college, more than 60% of students study abroad, in more than 35 countries, and Dickinson was one of the first US colleges to achieve carbon neutrality.
International applicants are reviewed by admissions staff familiar with foreign education systems. Admission of international students is need-aware, meaning that the ability to pay is considered, and both merit scholarships and need-based aid are available. Applicants whose first language is not English must show English proficiency, as there is no ESL programme. All students must live on campus unless allowed to live with family.
