Scranton offers 70 bachelor's degree programmes and 47 minors and concentrations. Examples by area:

Scranton offers more than 40 master's degree and doctoral programmes, with an easy three-step application and no application fee. Doctoral programmes:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy
• Doctor of Occupational Therapy
• Doctor of Nursing Practice, including Nurse Anesthesia and Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner tracks
• Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting

The master's programmes in Secondary Education, Special Education and School Counseling are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

• Room and board: $18,350

There is no application fee.

First-year admission for Fall 2027:

• 1 August: Common App opens
• 15 November: early action deadline
• 15 December: offers released to early action applicants

Scranton offers full- and partial-tuition merit scholarships, need-based grants, ROTC and tuition reduction options, loans and student employment. In 2025-26, first-year students received more than $40 million in aid, $37 million of it from the university, and the average aid package was $41,000. A Net Price Calculator gives an early estimate of aid for full-time first-year students.

The Office of Residence Life and Housing provides on-campus housing for first-year, sophomore, junior/senior and graduate students, as well as summer and study-abroad housing and a Global Exchange residential learning community. Pilarz and Montrone Halls house nearly 400 upper-class students and a fitness center. Room and board for 2026-27 costs $18,350.
