Drexel University is a comprehensive R1-level research university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It has 20,868 students and 2,097 faculty members, and appears in the top 50 of the U.S. News and World Report National University Rankings (Private Institutions) for 2027. The university is known for its model of experiential learning, built around its cooperative education programme, Drexel Co-op.
Undergraduates can choose from more than 100 majors and as many minors, as well as accelerated, bridge, combined and interdisciplinary degrees, pre-medical and pre-law tracks, and undeclared options for students who have not yet chosen a field. Graduate, professional and online degree programmes are also offered. Through Drexel Co-op, students can complete up to three six-month, full-time work placements, gaining up to 18 months of professional experience before graduating.
First-year students who are not approved to commute must live in a university residence hall, and the 2-Year Residency Program offers further housing options in the second year. Campus life includes more than 300 student clubs and organisations and Division I, club and intramural sports. Drexel accepts first-year and transfer applications, and new international students receive information on the I-20 or DS-2019 visa process.

Housing
First-year students who are not approved to commute must live in a Drexel residence hall. All halls have recreation and study lounges, kitchens and laundry facilities, wireless internet and live-in residential staff. In the second year, students can choose between:
- Selected Drexel residence halls
- University-affiliated housing run by American Campus Communities (The Summit, University Crossings and Chestnut Square)
- Fraternity or sorority houses (by invitation)
Gender-Inclusive Housing and Living Learning Communities are also available. First-year students living on campus must buy a First-Year Dining Plan.
