Drew University is a Phi Beta Kappa liberal arts university in Madison, New Jersey, a small town about 50 minutes by train from New York City. It was established in 1867 as a Methodist seminary and today has three schools: the College of Liberal Arts, Drew Theological School and the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies. Total enrolment is 2,224 students from 54 countries, and the undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1.
The offer includes:
- 69 undergraduate programmes in the College of Liberal Arts
- 10 master's and four doctoral degrees in the two graduate schools
- Graduate programmes in teaching, data science, finance, education, the humanities, medical humanities and arts and letters
- Certificate programmes, many of them hybrid or fully online
- Seven semester programmes in New York City
Students can take part in mentored scientific research (RISE and DSSI) and study abroad trips. The International Student & Scholar Services office, based in Tilghman House, helps international students settle in the United States with orientation, cultural programmes and individual advising; orientation for new international undergraduates begins on move-in day and lasts a week.
