Escuela de Turismo Universitaria de Zaragoza
Higher education centre in Zaragoza, Spain
The Escuela Universitaria de Turismo de Zaragoza (ETUZ) is one of the five affiliated centres of the Universidad de Zaragoza, in Zaragoza, Aragón. It teaches the Grado en Turismo (bachelor's degree in Tourism), an official degree of the Universidad de Zaragoza adapted to the European Higher Education Area. Because ETUZ is an affiliated centre, its fees differ from the public university price.
The degree prepares graduates to create, promote, sell and manage tourism products and services. Career paths named by the school include hotel and tourism business management, tourism marketing and communication, event and congress organisation, and work as a tour guide, with direct qualification in Aragón. Internships start in the first year and most are paid; the school works with more than 160 companies and organisations. Students can also take part in an exchange programme with universities around the world and do internships abroad. According to the school, the degree ranks among the top 150 in the world in the Shanghai Ranking (ARWU), and 82% of graduates find highly qualified work within four years.
Applicants apply online through the Universidad de Zaragoza between June and July and then enrol in person at the ETUZ office. The school helps students apply for grants from the Spanish ministry, the Government of Aragón and other bodies.
