The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Torrevieja is a public official language school in Torrevieja (Alicante province), part of the Valencian regional education system (Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Universidades). It teaches six languages: German, Spanish, French, English, Russian and Valencian, with courses from the first year of A2 up to C2. Besides the main building in Calle Eugenio Segarra Torregrosa, the school has sections in Pilar de la Horadada and Guardamar.
Spanish for foreigners (Español) is one of the regular languages, with its own placement test, course assessment and official certification exams; the oral certification exams are scheduled for May/June 2027 (ordinary sitting) and September 2027 (extraordinary sitting). Classes last two hours a day, two days a week, and start at 09:00, 11:00, 15:00, 17:00 or 19:00, so most languages have morning and afternoon groups. The school year runs from the end of September to the end of May, and a blended (semipresencial) mode has been added.
For the 2026-27 year, places were requested online through Adminova from 4 to 10 September. No certificate is needed for the first course (1A2); higher courses require a placement test or a recognised certificate. Spanish students must be over 14. Learners without an NIF or NIE can enrol at the school, which issues the fee form for them.
