Escuela Oficial de Idiomas "Do Mundo Lume"

The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Do Mundo Lume is the official language school of Ayamonte (Huelva province), located on Avenida Ramón y Cajal. It teaches German, Spanish for foreigners, French, English and Portuguese, and takes part in Erasmus+ projects.

Spanish is offered from A1 up to B2.1. All languages can be studied face to face, with two sessions of 2 hours 15 minutes a week; English can also be taken in a blended (semipresencial) mode from A1 to B1, and English is taught up to C1. The Spanish department publishes timetables, course programmes, tutorial hours and textbooks. The school has also run a research project on teaching Spanish as a foreign language to Chinese-speaking learners, analysing methodological challenges and building a bank of adapted resources.

New students apply for a place (solicitud de plaza) and must be at least 16 by the end of the calendar year in which the course starts, or over 14 for a language other than their first foreign language at secondary school; the blended mode requires age 18. Voluntary initial placement tests let applicants start above the first course. For 2026-27, ordinary enrolment ran from 1 to 10 July, with late enrolment from 10 September while places remain, either online through the Andalusian Secretaría Virtual or in person with a DNI or NIE.
