The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Sevilla-Macarena (EOI Sevilla-Macarena) is a public official language school in Seville, run by the Junta de Andalucía's education ministry. It opened in September 2005 and teaches German, Spanish as a foreign language, French, English and Italian; Chinese was added in September 2022.
Its Spanish as a foreign language department (Español Lengua Extranjera) publishes its groups and timetables for the 2026-27 academic year; Spanish students are assigned a group and do not need to choose one. In October 2026 the school reported vacancies in Spanish for foreigners only at level C1. Across the school, courses are taught face-to-face or in blended form, and external candidates can register for certification exams without attending classes. The school's website also lists the That's English distance programme among its modalities.
Classes run from late September to late May, with an intermediate assessment, a final assessment and an extraordinary session in September; in 2026-27 classes began on 21 September 2026. New students who obtained a place enrolled for 2026-27 from 1 to 10 July 2026 through the Secretaría Virtual, and admitted applicants could take a placement test (prueba inicial de clasificación) in June or September 2026. People who miss the admission period can request a vacancy through a form on the school website.
