Higher education centre in Armilla, Spain

Estación Diseño is a private higher school of design in Armilla (Granada), authorised by the Junta de Andalucía to teach official Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Diseño. Its official degrees in Graphic Design and Fashion Design last four years (240 ECTS credits), are equivalent to a university degree and are placed at level 2 of the Spanish higher education qualifications framework (MECES).

  • Official master's degree in Illustration (60 ECTS, MECES level 3)
  • Higher vocational courses (CFGS) in illustration, interactive graphics, audiovisual and comics

Teaching is project-based, and the degree includes a 12-ECTS work placement in companies. Holders of the Técnico Superior de Artes Plásticas y Diseño can enrol directly; applicants with the Bachillerato, another Técnico Superior or the university entrance exam for over-25s must pass a specific aptitude test. Students on the official degrees can apply for state (MEC) and Junta de Andalucía (Adriano) grants, and Erasmus+ placements and study periods in Europe are offered.

Programmes

  • Diseño Gráfico (Graphic Design): official degree, 4 years, 240 ECTS, issued by the Consejería de Educación of the Junta de Andalucía; covers identity, editorial, audiovisual and digital design, with projects in visual identity, web design, motion graphics and advertising campaigns, and electives such as AI applied to design
  • Diseño de Moda (Fashion Design): official degree, 4 years, 240 ECTS

The Graphic Design degree ends with a 12-ECTS company placement and a 12-ECTS final project.

Graduate programmes

Official master's degree in Illustration (Máster Oficial de Ilustración): 60 ECTS, MECES level 3.

Admission

  • Direct entry, without a test, for holders of the Técnico Superior de Artes Plásticas y Diseño
  • Specific aptitude test for applicants with the Bachillerato (any track), a Técnico Superior in another vocational field, or the university entrance exam for people over 25

The PAU does not give direct access. The test has three exercises: analysis of a design-related text and image, a freehand technical drawing, and a creative proposal based on a given text. Registration for the test opens from 1 to 31 May; in 2026 there was also a September sitting at the school.

Scholarships and financial aid

Students on the official degrees can apply for state grants from the Ministry of Education (becas MEC) and for the Junta de Andalucía's Adriano grants. The school lists discounts for large families, relatives of students and members of designers' associations.
