Excelia is a higher education group based in La Rochelle, France. It was originally established in 1988 by the La Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and in 2020 it took over ESCEM, a management school in Tours and Poitiers. Excelia holds the EESPIG label of the French Ministry of Higher Education, which recognises it as a not-for-profit establishment, and it has been a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles since 2007. It has four campuses: La Rochelle, Tours, Orléans and Paris-Cachan.
The group comprises Excelia Business School, which is accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, Excelia Tourism School, Excelia Communication School and Excelia International Institute for language and foundation courses. Programmes are taught in French, in English or in both:
- Bachelor in Business and BBA International
- Master in Management, with undergraduate or postgraduate entry
- Master of Science (MSc) programmes in business, tourism and hospitality, and digital communication
- Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA)
- International Foundation Programme
- French Intensive Programme and English Intensive Programme
- Summer & Winter School
International students apply online through the XL Connect platform and then record a video interview. For housing, students search through Excelia's housing partner Studapart and can choose a student residence, shared accommodation, a host family or a private rental. In La Rochelle, CROUS university residences are reserved primarily for French government scholarship students.
