Grand Valley State University (GVSU) is a four-year public university in West Michigan (United States), founded in 1960. Its Valley Campus in Allendale is the academic, residential and social hub, and its City Campus in downtown Grand Rapids includes the Robert C. Pew Campus and the Health Campus. It serves more than 22,000 students, among them 579 international students, with a 14:1 student/faculty ratio.
Eight colleges and six schools offer more than 350 programmes, including 107 undergraduate degrees, graduate and doctoral degrees and combined bachelor's-master's options. Colleges include:

The Padnos Center for Global Experiences supports international students with admissions, visas and campus life, and GVSU students can study abroad in more than 80 countries. International undergraduates apply without an application fee through the Common App or GVSU's own application. The university has 6,012 beds on campus and seven Living and Learning Communities.

Intakes are the Fall (August-December) and Winter (January-April) semesters.
Undergraduate applicants meet one of: TOEFL iBT 4.5 (86 on the previous scale), IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 105, Cambridge English C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency 180, PTE 53, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 470, ACT English 15, AP English Language 3, IB English (Higher Level) 5 or Michigan English Test 52. TOEFL MyBest scores and TOEFL Essentials are not accepted. Exemptions apply to applicants with a U.S. diploma or degree, 30 or more U.S. college credits, at least two years at a U.S. high school, or from listed English-speaking countries.
GVSU has 6,012 beds on campus, with housing concentrated on the Valley Campus in Allendale, and seven Living and Learning Communities organised around shared interests. Dining is run by Laker Food Co., with all-you-care-to-eat locations, cafés and convenience stores. Buses between the campuses are free.
