The International Institute in Geneva (IIG) is a higher education institution in Switzerland that offers bachelor's and master's programmes in international business and international relations. Its main campus is in Geneva's international district, close to the United Nations and other international organisations, and it also has campuses in Barcelona and Madrid.
- Pre-Bachelor Foundation Semester (six months, an internal bridge programme without ECTS credits)
- Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy (three years, 180 ECTS)
- Bachelor of International Management in International Law, Taxation and Trade (one year)
- Master of International Relations and Diplomacy (one year, 60 ECTS)
- Master of International Trade and Finance (two semesters, 60 ECTS)
Admission requires an official English certificate at around B2 level, such as IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80. Applicants submit an application form, transcripts, a CV and a 500-word motivation letter, then have an interview by video call or on campus; decisions are issued within ten working days. Applications are open for the February 2027 intake. The institute provides documents for student visa applications, its student services help with internships and with finding accommodation in Geneva, and scholarships of up to 30% are available.

- Master of International Relations and Diplomacy (MIR-D): one year, 60 ECTS, for careers in diplomacy, international organisations and global affairs
- Master of International Trade and Finance (MITF): two semesters, 60 ECTS, combining international trade and finance
Admission
- Online application form with transcripts, CV and a 500-word motivation letter
- Interview with the admissions panel, by video call or on campus
- Decision within ten working days
- Deposit, visa and housing arrangements after acceptance
The Pre-Bachelor Foundation Semester is aimed at school leavers whose grades are below direct bachelor's entry (for example, Spanish Bachillerato 4.0-4.9 or IB Diploma 24-29 points).
Language requirements
Applicants need an official English exam result at one of these levels: Cambridge B2, Duolingo English Test 110-115, IELTS 6.0, Pearson 46, TOEFL 80 or TOEIC 650.
