The Centro Superior de Música Jam Session is an officially authorised centre for higher music education (Centro Autorizado de Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Música) in Barcelona, regulated by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya and accredited by AQU, the Catalan quality agency. It is located at Carrer dels Montfar 16 and belongs to the Jam Session music schools, which have specialised in rock, pop and contemporary music since 1998.

The centre awards an official degree in Music of 240 ECTS credits, part of the European Higher Education Area and equivalent to a university bachelor's degree. According to the centre, it is the only such degree focused on rock, pop and contemporary popular music. Students choose one of three specialities:

  • Performance (Interpretación)
  • Music Production (Sonología)
  • Music Education (Pedagogía)

The Sonología speciality combines acoustic and electronic instruments with sound creation and prepares for work in music production, recording and post-production.

Admission is through an entrance test (prueba de acceso). The associated Jam Session music school offers a preparatory course, the PAS (Programa de Acceso al Superior), for applicants preparing for the test.
