The International Academy of English (IAE) is a private English language school with four campuses in the United States: San Diego (its main location), Irvine, Las Vegas and Tampa. IAE Las Vegas is at 2000 South Jones Boulevard, close to the intersection with West Sahara Avenue and a few minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, with a bus stop in front of the school. IAE is accredited by the Commission on English Language Accreditation (CEA).
The Intensive English Program has 20 hours of classes per week; in Las Vegas, classes run Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Courses cover these levels:
- Beginning and High Beginning
- Intermediate and High Intermediate
- Advanced
- Proficiency Test Preparation
Programmes run in two nine-week sessions. New students take a placement test the week before they start, begin on a Monday and enrol for at least two weeks; those who meet the learning objectives receive a Certificate of Participation. The minimum age is 14. IAE is authorised to enrol non-immigrant students and supports applicants for the F-1 student visa. Housing assistance is offered only at the San Diego campus, and the school does not offer financial aid.
