Malaga University - Spanish Language and Culture Courses in Spain

Language school in Malaga, Spain

Malaga-University.org presents the Spanish language and culture courses for foreign students offered by the University of Málaga (Universidad de Málaga) in Málaga, on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia. The website itself is run by Universitas International Studies S.L., a private Spanish company that acts as an authorised agent for the University of Málaga. According to the website, the university has more than 40,000 students a year, including 6,000 international students. The classrooms are a two-minute walk from the beach, and the facilities were renovated in 2014.

  • Semester courses: three months, starting in early October, January and April, 20 lessons per week
  • Summer programme: monthly courses from June to September and a summer semester from July to September
  • Intensive courses: monthly, about 20 hours per week, from four weeks
  • Individual one-to-one classes
  • All-inclusive packages with accommodation, transfers, insurance and activities
  • DELE courses and combined courses with Madrid University

Courses run all year at six levels from A1 to C2, and students are placed according to their Spanish. No previous Spanish or educational background is required; the minimum age is 16. Higher levels also include culture classes. An independent company, not the university, arranges accommodation in shared student flats in El Palo and Pedregalejo, 10 to 30 minutes' walk from the university, or with Spanish host families.
