Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is a public university in Northwest Indiana (United States), known by this name since 2016, although students have studied on its campuses since the 1940s. It has two campuses: Hammond, a residential campus 30 miles from Chicago, and the Westville branch campus, 15 miles from Indiana Dunes National Park. About 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students attend, from 37 states and 60 countries. PNW is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), grants doctoral degrees and is a Hispanic-Serving Institution.

PNW offers more than 70 areas of study, from cybersecurity, computer science and engineering to nursing, psychology and accounting, plus graduate programmes such as the MBA and master's degrees in engineering.

For international undergraduates, PNW's international admissions office evaluates foreign credentials itself, so no WES or ECE report is needed. English can be proven, for example, with IELTS 6.5. International Student Services helps with immigration, advising and cross-cultural programmes, and PNW also receives exchange students from partner institutions. Estimated international undergraduate tuition and fees for 2026-27 are $20,814.
