The University of Roehampton is a campus university in leafy southwest London, between the neighbourhoods of Putney, Wimbledon, Richmond and Barnes. Besides the main campus it includes Whitelands College, about a 10-minute walk away, and all of its student accommodation is on campus. Students from more than 140 countries study there. The university holds a Silver rating in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework and states that REF 2021 ranked it joint-best modern university in the UK for research.

Roehampton offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, Higher Technical Qualifications and online postgraduate study, with timetables built across two to three days. Degrees can include a professional experience year. For international students there are:

  • International pathways, including an International Foundation Programme
  • Pre-sessional English language courses
  • A three- or six-week summer school with credits

EU nationals with overseas fee status who enrol in 2026 or 2027 can receive a £7,000 scholarship, and further scholarships exist for international students. First-year students are guaranteed a room in halls if they accept their offer and apply before the deadline.
