Shackleton International School is a private British school in Burjassot, Valencia, for children aged 3 to 18. Teaching follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales, English is the language of instruction, and the school states that its students come from over 54 nationalities. It was founded by a team that has run early childhood education and language centres for more than 40 years, including SUPERFRIENDS International School.
In July 2025 Shackleton was authorised as an IB World School, and from September 2026 sixth-form students can take the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In the 2026-27 academic year the school offers classes from Nursery to Year 12 and adds Year 13 next, completing the IB cycle:
- Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ages 3-5
- Primary, ages 5-11
- Secondary, ages 11-16, with IGCSE exams in Year 11
- International Baccalaureate Diploma, ages 16-18
All applicants take a written test for their age and bring their last school report; primary pupils also spend a trial morning in class. Non-Spanish-speaking pupils from Year 3 may be placed in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) classes. The school organises a House system, a summer school and a school bus service.

Pupils joining at age 5 or older must show the minimum knowledge needed to follow the British curriculum. All applicants, including native speakers and pupils from other British schools, take a written test for their age and present their last school report the same day. The management team decides on admission; some pupils are admitted on condition that they work with a personal tutor for a few months.

Teaching is in English. Applicants joining at age 5 or older must show the minimum knowledge needed for the British curriculum, and every applicant takes a written test. For non-Spanish-speaking pupils from Year 3 onwards, a Spanish level assessment decides whether they must attend Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) classes, charged separately.
Annual tuition for the 2026-27 academic year:

Tuition includes school insurance, psycho-pedagogical services, the mandatory lunch service, daily consumables and early drop-off from 8am. A non-refundable registration fee of €1,015 is paid once at enrolment (€500 for new Year 12 IB students), plus an annual re-enrolment fee of €165. Chromebook, books, uniforms, clubs, trips, external British exams and ELE classes are extra. The school bus costs €196 a month for a round trip.
