SKOLA English Language Courses

SKOLA English in London is an English language school for children and teenagers aged 5 to 17 in central London. It is accredited by the British Council and is a member of English UK. Classes are grouped by age (5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14 and 15-17) and run from beginner to advanced level. Most courses take place in summer on sites that are used by universities from September to June.

Summer day courses include 15 hours of English a week. Lessons focus on spoken English through language games, tasks and role-plays; after lunch, students visit London museums and sights or choose sports or art activities, and every student gives a presentation in English on Friday afternoon. Teenagers aged 12 to 17 can stay at the SKOLA residence in Marylebone, in single rooms with full board, a 20-minute supervised walk from SKOLA Regent's Park. The school issues visa letters for a fee.

  • Family courses: adult English classes at Regent's University English Language Centre or TopUp/Tti School in Camden
  • One-to-one online English lessons

Summer day courses run as 6 or 5 full days or 5 half days (mornings) and include 15 hours of English a week.

Fees

Prices from the SKOLA price list for 2027 (summer school 14 June to 28 August 2027):

  • Residence plus 6-day course, ages 12 to 17: £1,490 per week, all meals and single room included
  • Day summer school, ages 10 to 17: £820 per week (6 full days), £720 (5 full days), £500 (5 half days)
  • Day summer school, ages 5 to 9: £920 per week (6 full days, including one parent on the Saturday trip), £720 (5 full days)
  • Winter School 2027, ages 10 to 17: £690 per week (5 full days)
  • Online English lessons: £19 per 30-minute lesson

Registration fee £60 and visa letter £30. Cancellation for any reason, including visa refusal, costs £60 plus the registration and visa letter fees.

Housing

Students aged 12 to 17 enrolled on a SKOLA summer course can stay at the SKOLA residence in Nutford House, Marylebone, part of the University of London, from 27 June to 15 August 2027. Each student has a single room with a desk; bathrooms are shared and gender-specific. All meals are included, with evening activities such as film and games nights. Bedding, towels, an on-site laundry and WiFi are provided. Students walk to SKOLA Regent's Park in a supervised group (about 20 minutes). Arrival and departure are on Sundays, and unaccompanied under-18s must book airport transfers.

Families on family courses arrange their own accommodation; the school lists apartment and homestay providers, hotels and agencies.
