The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU) is a research and higher education institution in Bratislava, Slovakia. It sees itself as continuing the legacy of the Mining Academy in Banská Štiavnica, founded about 260 years ago. STU teaches technical fields and involves students in research in the natural sciences, computer science, construction, architecture, materials technology, chemistry and food technology. Almost 11,000 students attend its seven faculties and the Institute of Management.

The university awards bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, and also offers lifelong learning and an MBA run with TU Wien. Study in Slovak is free of charge, while programmes taught in English carry tuition fees. Admission conditions differ between faculties and study levels. STU takes part in Erasmus+ and the EULiST university alliance, sends almost 500 students abroad each year, runs an intensive Slovak language course for international students and has student accommodation.
