Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is a university based in Edwardsville, Illinois (United States), authorized to operate as a postsecondary educational institution by the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Besides the main campus in Edwardsville, it has sites in Alton, East St. Louis and Belleville.

SIUE offers more than 350 areas of study at undergraduate (bachelor's) and graduate (master's and doctoral) level, organised in these academic units:

  • College of Arts & Sciences
  • School of Business
  • School of Education, Health and Human Behavior
  • School of Engineering
  • School of Nursing
  • School of Pharmacy
  • School of Dental Medicine

International students apply in two steps: an academic review of the online application, followed by the upload of financial documents so that SIUE can issue the I-20 or DS-2019 needed for a US student visa. Exchange students for a semester or a year must be nominated by an SIUE partner institution. Applicants who still need to reach the English level can enrol in the English Pathway Program, which leads directly to degree admission. The International GEO Award gives academically qualified international students a 50% tuition reduction. University Housing has over 3,000 residents and includes international student housing.
