St. George's British International School is a private British international school in Leioa, about ten minutes from the centre of Bilbao. It was founded in 1956 by John Augustin Franks and is a founding member of Globeducate British International Schools; the Globeducate group operates more than 65 schools worldwide.
The school teaches students aged two to 18 and follows the English National Curriculum. English is the principal language of teaching and learning, with full immersion from the first day. The school has been extending the British curriculum year by year in place of the Spanish system, a transition it planned to complete in the 2025-26 academic year.
