The Christian English Language Centre

Language school, English courses in Christchurch, The United Kingdom

Celc (The Christian English Language Centre) runs an English summer school for young people aged 12 to 15 near Christchurch and Bournemouth in the United Kingdom. The 2027 Summer School takes place at Moorlands College, 2.5 miles from Christchurch and inside the New Forest National Park. Students can stay for one to four weeks, with arrivals on 29 June, 6 July, 13 July or 20 July.

The programme combines more than 20 hours of English teaching and project work per week with activities, evening events and excursions to places such as London, Oxford, Bath and Bournemouth. Students live on campus in twin rooms, sharing with a student of a similar age but a different nationality, and are supervised 24 hours a day with one leader for every 14 students. Each student receives a course completion certificate. Students of any faith or none are welcome; a short Christian worship service is offered as an option on Sundays.

Celc now works in partnership with the Bournemouth School of English (BSE), which manages the summer school administration. Courses for adults, groups and online learners are offered by BSE, a school accredited by the British Council.
