The International College is an institution, receiving students from ages 11-18, and was established in 1977. It is based in Sherborne, UK. The school was formed with the mission to provide high quality education to international students through the approach of small classes, expert tuition, and good pastoral care. Teachers of all subjects are either EFL experienced or hold the CELTA EFL qualification, even if they are not a member of the English department. A lot of the members of the English department are DELTA qualified. When they enter the college, students follow a general curriculum until they reach the next stage, when they choose their IGCSE and A level subjects. All students also follow a course of Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE). Each week each student meets with his or her Head of Year for a tutorial period, too. Finally, Music lessons are also available on request.
