BSB City is the Barcelona city campus of The British School of Barcelona (BSB), a group of British international schools that is part of Cognita. It teaches children aged 3 to 18, from Early Years to Pre-University, in two buildings a short walk apart in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district: the Esperança Campus, a Modernist building near Passeig de la Bonanova for ages 3 to 6, and the Lucà Campus near John Kennedy Square for Primary, Secondary and Pre-University. BSB City is a newer campus; BSB as a whole has more than 65 years of history and six campuses in Barcelona, Castelldefels and Sitges, with a new one coming in Cabrera de Mar.

The Lucà Campus is authorised as an IB World School for the Diploma Programme. Facilities include science labs, an art room, workshop areas and on-site and off-site sports facilities. Admission involves an application with school reports, an English assessment or interview depending on age, and a meeting with the head; English is not required for entry to Nursery and Reception.

Admission
The admissions process has seven steps: an initial conversation with the admissions team, a visit (open day, private tour, or virtual tour for families relocating), the online application with recent school reports, passports or ID and references, an informal assessment or interview to check English level depending on age plus an interview with the head, a time-limited offer of a place subject to availability (otherwise a waiting list), and finally the admissions booklet, documents and payment of the matriculation fee.
Pre-University applicants need five GCSEs at grades 9-4 or equivalent and sit English and Maths assessments.
Language requirements
- Nursery and Reception: no prior English required
- Years 1 and 2: age-appropriate spoken English
- Year 3 and above: age-appropriate spoken and written English, with an English language assessment
- Secondary (Years 7-11): age-appropriate spoken and written English and an English assessment
- Pre-University (Years 12-13): English and Maths assessments, and possibly subject-specific exams
