The University of West London (UWL) is a career-focused university with sites in Ealing and Brentford in West London and in Reading, where it teaches nursing, midwifery and healthcare in partnership with the NHS. It traces its heritage in teaching and professional education back over 150 years and is a member of University Alliance. According to the university, it is the 2nd London university for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2026 and ranks in the UK top 50 in The Guardian University Guide 2027.
UWL offers undergraduate degrees in STEM, healthcare, business, hospitality, social sciences, law, policing and the arts, as well as foundation years, top-up degrees, postgraduate degrees, PhDs and Professional Doctorates. Many courses also start in February. Its schools and colleges include:

Entry requirements, including English language requirements, are listed on each course page and on country pages. Applicants can apply while finishing another course or awaiting an English test result.
- Undergraduate: passport scan, personal statement, reference, English language certificate, transcript and certificate (in English or officially translated)
- Postgraduate: as above plus a CV and two professional and/or academic references

Options include Chapter White City in East Acton, close to Central Line stations and linked by the UWL shuttle bus to Ealing and Brentford, and The Paragon in Brentford, 10 minutes from the Ealing site with a free shuttle.
