The York School is an independent, co-educational International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in midtown Toronto, teaching students from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 12. It opened in 1965 and states that it was the first English-speaking school in Canada to offer the full IB programme. It has two campuses on Yonge Street: the Junior School (JK to Grade 6) at 1639 Yonge Street and the Middle and Senior School (Grades 7 to 12) at 1320 Yonge Street.

Its families are a mix of Canadian and international families. The application deadline for the 2027-28 school year is 1 December 2026, and need-based financial aid is available for Grades 9 to 12.

Fees for the 2026-27 school year:
- Tuition, Grades JK-12: $45,065
- Registration fee for new students: $10,000 (one-time, non-refundable, payable on acceptance of an offer)
- Late application fee: $300
A first non-refundable tuition instalment of $7,500 holds the student's place; the rest is paid in instalments. Additional costs apply.
Application deadline for the 2027-28 school year: 1 December 2026. Financial aid applications (Grades 9-12, through Apple Financial Services) have the same deadline.
Need-based financial aid is available for new and returning students in Grades 9 to 12. Families apply through Apple Financial Services, a third-party organisation, in addition to applying to the school, by 1 December 2026 for the 2027-28 school year. Applying for financial aid does not affect admission decisions; aid decisions are communicated together with admission offers.
