University Academy 92 (UA92) is a higher education institution in Old Trafford, Manchester, in the north-west of England. It was founded by Gary Neville and the Class of 92 footballers in partnership with Lancaster University, and opened in 2019. UA92 teaches its courses on its own campus, while the degrees are awarded by Lancaster University.
Teaching is organised in four subject areas, the Worlds of Business, Media, Sport and Digital, with industry partners such as Manchester United, Salford City FC and Lancashire Cricket; the digital degrees were co-developed with Microsoft. Courses come in three formats:
- Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE, one year)
- Accelerated bachelor's degree (two years)
- Honours bachelor's degree (three years)
Students attend half days only and most courses have no end-of-year exams. There are several start dates a year (September, November, January, February or April, depending on the course). International students can enter at foundation, integrated first year or degree level, depending on their academic and English level, and receive support with the application, the visa, arrival and accommodation. Applications go through UCAS (institution code U01). Academy Apartments, a residence reserved for UA92 students, is across the road from the main campus.
