Universal English is an English language school in central Melbourne, Australia, at 1/131 Queen Street. It is registered with ASQA to deliver English language courses to overseas students and is recognised as a NEAS Quality Endorsed Centre. It is part of Universal Learning Group, which joined the Oxford International Education Group in July 2024; the group also includes Universal Higher Education, which offers bachelor's and master's courses.
Its ELICOS courses for overseas students include:
- General English, five levels from Elementary to Advanced
- English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and IELTS exam preparation
- Active Conversation in English (ACE)
- Cambridge B2 First (FCE) and C1 Advanced (CAE) preparation
- Master Barista course, junior camps and group programmes
General English and EAP start every Monday, with 20 hours of face-to-face classes per week. New students take a placement test on their first day and attend an orientation session covering timetables, facilities, student visa information, transport and banking. Every six weeks each student has a one-to-one coaching session with their teacher. According to the school, it had students from more than 30 countries in 2025; excursions and local activities complement the classes.

General English and EAP: 20 hours per week face to face, morning classes Monday to Thursday or evening classes Monday to Friday, starting every Monday.
Applicants take the school's English placement test, and all students are tested on their first day and placed in a class at their level. General English covers Elementary to Advanced; EAP/IELTS preparation starts at Intermediate level, and the Cambridge B2 First course is for upper-intermediate students.
