The Universidad Católica de La Plata (UCALP) is a Catholic university in La Plata, Argentina, with its main address at Avenida 13 nº 1227. It also has a campus (sede) in Bahía Blanca. Its faculties include Health Sciences and Humanities, and it runs its own language school (Escuela de Idiomas).

  • Licenciatura degrees, for example in Psychology, Journalism, Philosophy, Educational Sciences, Psychopedagogy and Marketing
  • University teacher-training degrees (profesorado) in Letters and Physical Education
  • Distance-learning programmes, such as the two-year completion cycle leading to a Licenciatura in History
  • Short online diplomas (diplomaturas), such as a six-month programme in biostatistics for health sciences

New students take a compulsory admission course of three subjects: study methods, an introduction to university life and a subject specific to the faculty. It can be taken in person or at a distance, is a levelling course rather than an eliminatory one, and remains valid for 24 months; UCALP graduates are exempt. Tuition is charged as a monthly fee during the academic year, and first-year students pay it in ten consecutive monthly instalments; the amounts for each degree and campus are set in an annual fee resolution. Admission

All new students take a compulsory admission course made up of three subjects: Study Methodology (Metodología de Estudio), Introduction to University Life and a subject specific to the faculty. The course can be taken in person or at a distance and is valid for 24 months. It is a levelling course and not eliminatory, with one resit exam per subject; in-person students need at least 75% attendance. Graduates of a UCALP degree are exempt.
