University, Graduate school in Santa Clara, Cuba

The Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas (UCLV) is a university in the province of Villa Clara, in central Cuba. Its main campus is complemented by 12 municipal university centres (Centros Universitarios Municipales) in the province, and in September 2015 the former Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas "Félix Varela Morales" and the Facultad de Cultura Física "Manuel Fajardo Rivero" became part of it.

Undergraduate teaching takes place in 12 faculties and an institute of history, Marxism and national security. UCLV offers 55 degree programmes and 9 short-cycle higher education programmes, with about 9,000 students, in social sciences, humanities, economics, agriculture, education, engineering and technology, natural and exact sciences, and physical culture and sport. Programmes can be studied full time (curso diurno), in a part-time attendance mode (curso por encuentro) or at a distance. According to the university, 41 of its programmes were accredited by Cuba's national accreditation board (Junta de Acreditación Nacional) at the end of 2024. The website also has sections on doctoral and master's programmes and for foreign students.

The university runs a student residence with 21 buildings across its campuses, housing 2,922 students. The 2026-27 academic year began on 14 September 2026.
