The University of Alcalá is one of Spain’s oldest universities, founded in 1499. It has an international section, offering degrees in five areas of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, Law and Social Sciences, Sciences, Health Sciences, and Engineering and Architecture. The school receives about 30,000 students, two-thirds of whom are pursuing an undergraduate degree, while more than 9,500 students are enrolled for postgraduate training. The over 200 postgraduate degrees include research masters, taught masters, doctoral programs, and specially designed expert programs, all adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The school is proud to be one of the Spanish universities with the largest number of graduate degrees and life-long ongoing education courses. A final important point to mention is that all degree programs include work experience internships in companies or research institutes.
