The Universidad de Extremadura (UEx) has centres in Badajoz, Cáceres, Mérida and Plasencia, and an affiliated centre, the Centro Universitario Santa Ana, in Almendralejo. The Badajoz campus is home to the Facultad de Ciencias, the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales, the Facultad de Ciencias de la Documentación y la Comunicación, the Facultad de Educación y Psicología, the Facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud, and the Escuela de Ingenierías Industriales and Escuela de Ingenierías Agrarias.

Besides bachelor's degrees (grados) and double degrees, the UEx offers master's degrees, doctorates, its own qualifications (títulos propios) and international summer and autumn courses. Admission to bachelor's degrees is through pre-registration (preinscripción). The university's information service, the SIAA, answers questions about university services and available grants.
