The Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary university in Clermont-Ferrand, in the Auvergne region of France. According to the university, it trains over 36,000 students each year, more than 15% of them international, and has around 800 international cooperation agreements. It holds the I-SITE label for its CAP 20-25 project and is part of the ARTEMIS alliance of European universities.
Teaching and research are grouped into six institutes:
- Clermont Auvergne INP (engineering: SIGMA Clermont, Polytech Clermont, ISIMA)
- Law, Economics and Management, including the IAE Clermont Auvergne School of Management
- Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences, including the national school of architecture (ENSACF) and teacher training
- Sciences (chemistry, mathematics, physics, earth sciences)
- Life Sciences, Health, Agronomy and Environment (biology, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy)
- IUT Clermont Auvergne (technology)
Its Graduate School offers selective master's and doctoral tracks open to French and international students. The Centre FLEURA teaches French as a foreign language from A1 to C1, prepares international students for university study in France and is an accredited DELF-DALF centre with the FLE Quality Label. Exchange students can join a buddy programme.

The Graduate School CAP 20-25 groups seven selective master's and doctoral tracks on sustainable ways of living and production:
- International development
- Intelligent and innovative mobility (computer science, robotics, mechanics, energy)
- Volcanoes in the Earth system (InVolc)
- Changing environments (microbiology, environmental management, plant biology, livestock production)
- Nutrition, health and mobility
- Mathematics and physics
- Humanities and social sciences
The tracks link master's and doctoral levels and include scholarships, mobility support, summer schools and laboratory internships.
The Centre FLEURA, on the Carnot campus, offers French courses for international students: university diplomas from A1 to C1, French for academic purposes, French for specific purposes (sciences, business, literature), intensive, evening and elective courses. It is an accredited centre for the DELF and DALF certifications.
