The University of Dayton (UD) is a Catholic, Marianist university in Dayton, Ohio, United States, located at 300 College Park. It has 9,051 undergraduate, graduate and law students. Teaching is organised in five academic units:

  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Business Administration
  • School of Education and Health Sciences
  • School of Engineering
  • School of Law

The university offers more than 150 degree and certificate programmes: over 70 undergraduate majors, more than 100 minors, over 30 master's and doctoral degrees and nearly 50 specialised certificates. Options include online graduate programmes, combined bachelor's and master's programmes and co-majors. The university also runs the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI).

Students are guaranteed experiential learning opportunities and are assigned a dedicated advisor. Students can take part in study abroad or co-op placements. Scholarships, grants, loans and part-time work-study are available to help cover costs. International applicants apply through a separate international admission office.

Scholarships and financial aid

The University of Dayton offers scholarships, grants, loans and part-time work-study. According to the university, 97% of undergraduates receive financial assistance. To be considered for financial aid, new and current students must file the FAFSA. Separate tuition and aid information is published for undergraduate, transfer, international, graduate and law students.
