University, Graduate school in Lusaka, Zambia
The University of Lusaka (UNILUS) is a private university in Zambia. It began in 2007 as the Institute for Corporate Training and Applied Research (ICTAR), was registered as a university in January 2008 and was officially opened in 2012. It teaches on three campuses: Silverest in Chongwe, which includes a teaching hospital and residences, Massmedia on Alick Nkhata Road and Leopards Hill. According to the university, it has 16,800 students from 28 nationalities.
Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are offered through five schools:
- School of Medicine and Health Sciences
- School of Law
- Pinalo Chifwanakeni Business School
- School of Technology and Social Sciences
- School of Postgraduate Studies
Students can study full time on campus, by distance learning or part time. The university lists partnerships with Stellenbosch University, Riga Technical University, the University of South Carolina and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
Local and international applicants apply online; all academic results must first be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA). The university offers single and shared rooms in student accommodation.

- MBA, including specialisations in healthcare management and banking and finance, and an Executive MBA
- Master of Laws (LLM), general or specialised in fields such as tax, human rights, environmental, commercial or mining law
- Master of Public Health and MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics
- MSc programmes in economics, finance, accounting, project management, logistics, IT and cyber security
- Master's in political science and international relations, and in peace and security studies
- Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and PhD
- Postgraduate diplomas in higher education teaching and quality assurance
Admission
Applications are made online and need:
- Certified academic certificates or statement of results
- Certified diploma certificates, if applicable
- National registration card (NRC), passport or other valid ID
- Grade 12 (O level) certificate and other qualifications certified by ZAQA
All academic results, for local and international applicants, must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA); applications without verified results or with missing documents are not processed. Registration requires a deposit of at least 50% of the tuition fees.
