UiT The Arctic University of Norway (in Norwegian, UiT Norges arktiske universitet) is a university in Northern Norway, with its main postal address in Tromsø. It offers education at eleven study sites across the region:
- Tromsø
- Alta, Hammerfest and Kirkenes
- Bodø, Narvik and Mo i Rana
- Harstad, Bardufoss and Kabelvåg
- Svalbard (Longyearbyen)
For international students, UiT has a catalogue of English-taught courses and English-taught degree programmes, a student exchange programme and an orientation programme for newly arrived international students. Admission routes exist for Nordic, EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA applicants, as well as for PhD candidates and joint degrees. For degree studies starting in autumn 2027, the application portal for non-EU/EEA applicants opens on 15 October 2026 with a deadline of 15 November 2026; for EU/EEA and Swiss applicants it opens on 1 February 2027 with a deadline of 1 March 2027.
