International students apply through the university's online application system, uploading a personal statement and academic certificates and transcripts. Applicants must meet both the academic and the English language entry requirement of their course. Successful applicants receive a conditional or unconditional offer; conditions can include paying a deposit, meeting English requirements, providing academic references and a copy of the passport. Once conditions are met, the university issues the CAS needed for the student visa, which can be applied for up to six months before the course starts. Country representatives and recruitment partners can help with applications.
Applicants whose first language is not English need, for example:
- IELTS (Academic or UKVI Academic): 6.0 for undergraduate and 6.5 for postgraduate, minimum 5.5 in each skill
- PTE Academic: 59 (undergraduate) or 62 (postgraduate), minimum 59 in each skill
- LanguageCert Academic: 65 (undergraduate) or 70 (postgraduate)
- Cambridge: B2 First grade B (undergraduate); C1 Advanced grade C or B2 First grade A (postgraduate)
- Duolingo: 105 or 120, only for nationals of countries on the UKVI differential evidence list
Applicants below the required level may join a pre-sessional English course first.
International tuition fees per year, 2026-27 academic year:
- Undergraduate degree: £14,950 (with foundation year: £11,250 in year 1)
