The University of Lincoln is a university in the historic city of Lincoln, England, established in 1996. Its main Brayford Pool Campus is on the waterfront in the city centre; there are also campuses at Riseholme, just outside the city, used for many agriculture courses, and at Holbeach, home to the National Centre for Food Manufacturing. The university states that it has over 15,000 students, and it was awarded Gold in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023.

Subjects are organised in two colleges, Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Health and Science. The university offers more than 300 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, from Accountancy to Zoology, and some postgraduate taught courses start in January. A Pre-Master's programme is available for students who do not yet meet postgraduate entry requirements.

An international office ([email protected]) supports applicants, and the website has country pages with entry requirements, including one for Spain. Most university-managed accommodation is on the Brayford Pool Campus or a short distance away, with en-suite rooms and studios and support from a Residence Life Team.

  • Advanced entry into year two or three may be possible depending on previous studies

Most programmes require IELTS 6.0, 6.5 or 7.0; the exact score is given on each programme page. For programmes requiring IELTS 6.0, the European Baccalaureate Diploma at grade 7 is accepted instead. The qualification should usually have been completed no more than five years before enrolment.

Financial Aid

The university offers international scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, worth up to 50 per cent of tuition fees, as well as scholarships for research degrees. Tuition fee discounts are also available for international students enrolling in the 2025/26 and 2026/27 academic years.

Housing

University-managed accommodation is on or near the Brayford Pool Campus, for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Residences include The Gateway, St Marks, 179 High Street, Valentine Court and Cygnet Wharf, with en-suite rooms and studios and contracts of 40 to 51 weeks. A Residence Life Team supports residents, who also have access to the on-campus Sports Centre. The international pages explain how students from overseas apply for accommodation.
