Whitworth University

Whitworth University is a private, residential, Christ-centered liberal arts university in Spokane, the second-largest city in the state of Washington (United States). Founded in 1890 with Presbyterian roots, it was known as Whitworth College until 2007. Its 200-acre campus lies on the north side of Spokane. Whitworth has about 2,500 students and a student-faculty ratio of 11:1.

The university offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes: bachelor's degrees, online undergraduate programmes for adults, master's degrees and two doctorates in health sciences, the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) and the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).

International students make up 5.2% of the student body and come from more than 40 countries. The Office of International Education in Hendrick Hall supports them, and the university also runs study abroad and international exchange programmes. Undergraduate traditional day programme, 2027-28 academic year:

  • Tuition: $27,900
  • Room and meals: $15,480
  • Mandatory fees: $1,550

This rate does not apply to online bachelor's, graduate and doctoral programmes.

Housing

Whitworth is a residential university with on-campus residence halls organised in Whitworth Neighborhoods, managed by Residence Life and Housing ([email protected]). Graduate housing is available, and the office also gives information on off-campus housing and early arrival. Campus dining is run by Sodexo.
