AVI Career Training is a beauty and wellness career school in Vienna, Virginia, in the Tysons Corner area, established in 1985. It is licensed to operate in Virginia by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). It is also approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Its programmes lead to certifications in the beauty and wellness professions:
- Cosmetology (1,000 clock hours)
- Basic Esthetics and Master Esthetics (600 clock hours each)
- Electrolysis (600 clock hours)
- Massage Therapy
- Cosmetic Laser Technician (80 clock hours) and Advanced Esthetic Laser Certification (900 clock hours)
- Nail Technician (150 clock hours)
Training combines theory with practical work on fellow students and on clients in the school's salon, and programmes such as Basic Esthetics prepare students for the Virginia State Board licensing examination. The school also offers continuing education and short courses such as eyelash extension, make-up artistry and waxing, and arranges work experience with partner salons and spas. Basic Esthetics, Master Esthetics, Cosmetology, Massage Therapy and Electrolysis are eligible for federal financial aid (Title IV), including Pell Grants and Direct Loans for those who qualify, and GI Bill benefits are available to veterans.

Scholarships and financial aid
AVI Career Training is approved by the U.S. Department of Education to offer federal Title IV aid, including Pell Grants and Direct Loans for those who qualify. Grants from private organisations and GI Bill benefits for veterans are also available. Aid-eligible programmes are Basic Esthetics, Master Esthetics, Cosmetology, Massage Therapy and Electrolysis. Students must complete the FAFSA to receive federal aid.
