Ayni Spanish Institute

Ayni Spanish Institute (ASI) is a Spanish language school in La Paz, Bolivia, run by Bolivian linguists. It has a main office on 20 de Octubre avenue and a branch office on Linares Street, a few steps from the city centre. The teachers specialise in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, and lessons combine everyday use of the language and its regional varieties with a grammar framework.

Courses follow the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (A1 to C2):

• Regular classes: 10 hours per week
• Intensive classes: 20 hours per week
• Super intensive classes: 25 or 30 hours per week
• Conversation and listening
• DELE exam preparation (32 hours)
• Grammar classes
• Spanish for travellers
• Virtual Spanish classes online

Regular, intensive and super intensive courses start any Monday; most other courses can start on any day. Students can stay with a local Bolivian host family in La Paz to practise Spanish and learn about Bolivian culture outside class.
