Billy Blue College of Design is the design college of Torrens University Australia, a university founded in 2013 and owned since 2020 by Strategic Education, Inc. Billy Blue has campuses in Sydney (Surry Hills), Melbourne, Brisbane (Fortitude Valley) and Adelaide, and students can study online, on campus or with a combination of both. Torrens University as a whole has more than 19,000 students from over 120 countries.

The university's only on-site accommodation is at its Leura campus; near the city campuses, students can use the partner platform Amber Student, homestays or private rentals, with advice from international student advisors.

Housing
Torrens University has on-site accommodation only at its Leura campus, so Billy Blue students in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide live off campus. Options include:
- Purpose-built student accommodation through the partner platform Amber Student (whole apartments, private or shared rooms)
- Homestay with a local host for a weekly fee, through the Australian Homestay Network
- Private rentals and shared houses
International student advisors help with the choice, and Student Services provides a list of recommended accommodation websites. Students may stay in short-term accommodation on arrival, except those under 18, who need appropriate arrangements in place.
