Bugema University
University, Graduate school in Kampala, Uganda
Bugema University (BUG) is a private, co-educational university in Uganda affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Its main campus lies in Luweero District, about 33 km northeast of Kampala, and it also has campuses in Kampala and Kasese and centres in Arua and Mbale. The institution began in 1948 as Bugema Missionary Training School, which trained teachers and pastors for the Adventist Church in East Africa; it became a university in 1994 and received its tertiary institution licence in 1997.
Teaching is organised in eight schools:

- Health and Allied Sciences

- Theology and Religious Studies
- Graduate Studies and Research
Qualifications range from certificates and diplomas to bachelor's degrees, postgraduate diplomas, master's degrees and PhDs. The academic year has three semesters, with intakes in August, January and May, and depending on the programme students can study in day, evening, weekend or in-service mode. Applications are submitted online or at the Registrar's Office, and some programmes require an interview or entrance test. Scholarships and financial aid are available to eligible students.

Admission
Applicants submit the application form online or at the Registrar's Office, together with academic transcripts, certificates and other required documents. The admissions team reviews eligibility, and some programmes also require an interview or entrance test. After the admission decision, students pay tuition fees and complete registration.
