BWS Germanlingua

Language school in Berlin, Germany

BWS Germanlingua is a German language school with schools in the city centres of Munich, Berlin and Cologne, all easily reached by public transport. It has taught German as a foreign language since 1984, following the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), and its Berlin school marked 25 years in 2026.

Courses are for adults aged 16 and over, in small groups that start every week:

  • Standard and Intensive German courses
  • Evening German courses in Berlin
  • University programme: German from A1 to C1 in about a year, preparation for Studienkolleg or university admission, and application to universities

For the university programme, the school checks documents, applies to three universities of the student's choice and cooperates with LMU and TUM in Munich, FU and TU in Berlin, and the Universität zu Köln and FH Köln. It also issues invitation letters for visa applications. Books and course materials are included, and the schools have Wi-Fi and a shared kitchen. Accommodation can be arranged in all three cities, and a weekly leisure programme offers indoor and outdoor activities. Office staff also speak English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Russian.
