Colegio Internacional Alicante is a school of Spanish for foreigners in the centre of Alicante, founded in 1998 as a small cooperative of teachers of Spanish as a foreign language. It is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and takes part in SICTED, a quality scheme for tourist destinations promoted by the Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and the school is within walking distance of the historic centre and the beach.

Courses cover the six CEFR levels from A1 to C2, and a class hour lasts 50 minutes. Groups average 6 to 12 students. Complete beginners start on set dates, while students at other levels can join on any Monday. The extracurricular programme includes city visits, excursions to nearby villages and salsa lessons. The school can send transcripts to Eastern Connecticut State University (USA) and Collège du Maisonneuve (Canada).

  • Over 50s, Spanish and golf, Spanish and Latin American dance, mixed stay Alicante-Salamanca
