English language courses are taught at the Griffith Institute of Language. As an independent college, Griffith charges tuition fees for most programmes. In Dublin, the on-campus Griffith Halls of Residence house over 600 students; in Cork and Limerick the college points students to private student residences and host families. Language requirements

Students whose native language is not English must show a suitable level, normally with an internationally recognised English test. Those without a sufficient score take the Griffith College English test before the programme starts, and students below the required standard are placed on an Academic English programme at the college, at an additional charge.
