Linköping University

Linköping University (Linköpings universitet, LiU) is a public university in southern Sweden and has the status of a government agency. It was founded in Linköping in 1975 as Sweden's sixth university and has since expanded to Norrköping and Stockholm. LiU has 46,200 students and 4,700 employees, and about 1,300 doctoral students (2024). Teaching and research take place on four campuses:

• Campus Valla, Linköping
• University Hospital Campus, Linköping
• Campus Norrköping
• Campus Lidingö, Stockholm

LiU offers a wide range of courses and programmes taught entirely in English. International master's programmes are applied for through the Swedish national application system, and bachelor's programmes through University Admissions. Students can also come to LiU on exchange or take single-subject courses at undergraduate and master's level. The university works closely with industry and society, and companies such as Sectra and IFS have their origins in LiU research or were founded by its alumni. According to the university, nine out of ten students find a job after their studies.
